Azithromycin is a class of macrolide antibiotics that can be used to treat bacterial infections in several parts of the body, such as the respiratory tract, eyes, skin and genitals (eg chlamydia, gonorrhea, or granuloma inguinale). While for syphilis infection, this drug can only overcome the problem, not to cure the infection as a whole.
Dosage Conditions
Adult pneumonia: 500 mg via the intravenous channel.
Skin infections, upper respiratory tract
Adults: 500 mg once a day.
Children over 6 months: 10 mg / kg.
Children weighing 25-25 kg: 200 mg, body weight 26-35 kg: 300 mg, body weight 36-45 kg: 400 mg.
Genital infections due to chlamydia Adults: 1 gram.
Adult gonorrhea: 2 grams.
Inguinale granuloma Adult: 1 gram.
Conjunctivitis Adults: 1 drop in the eye affected by infection.
