VAGISTIN SUPP is used as a treatment for the vaginal area (female organs) with a diagnosis or suspected mixed infection (Trichomonas vaginalis & Candida albicans). Metronidazole is an antibacterial and synthetic antiprotozoa derived from nitroimidazoi which has bactericidal activity (killing bacteria), amebicid (killing amoeba) and trichomonosid (killing trichomonas). Metronidazole is effective against Trichomonas vaginalis (a fungus in the female area) that works effectively both locally and systemically. Nystatin is an antifungal / oropharyngeal infection (a fungal infection that occurs when there is a fungus called Candida which is usually on the skin or mucous membrane).

Dosage & Eating Method
1 ovule is inserted daily in the vagina for 7-10 days. Depends on the patient's condition.
How to use Ovula
1. Wash your hands with water and soap. If the ovule softens, place it in cold water or put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to harden it again before opening the package. Open the ovule wrap.

3. If using an applicator ovule, place the ovule in the hole in the applicator. Make sure that the side of the ovule placed on the applicator is the blunt side of the ovule.
4. Sit with one hand supporting your body weight and the other hand holding the applicator that has been fitted with ovules. Both legs are bent in an open position to facilitate the use of ovules.
5. Insert the pointed tip of the ovule with the help of the applicator to the vaginal opening. After the applicator is inside the vagina, press the button on the applicator to release the ovule.
6. If you don't use an applicator, insert the pointed tip of the vagina more or less as deep as your index finger.
7. Close your legs for a few seconds. Stay seated for about 5 minutes to prevent the ovules from coming back.
8. Clean the applicator with warm water and soap, dry it and keep it clean. Wash your hands with soap to clean any medications that might stick.
