PRIMOLUT N 5 MG
FOR Dysfunctional uterine bleeding, amenorrhoea, timing of menstruation and endometriosis.
The purpose of Primolut N (Norethisterone) is to treat dysfunctional bleeding, primary and secondary amenorrhea,
premenstrual syndrome, cyclical mastopathy, menstrual / menstrual timing, and endometriosis caused by hormonal imbalances.
Contraindicated
- Should not be used in patients who have a history of hypersensitivity to Norethisterone.
- Moderate or have experienced idiopathic thromboembolic.
- Patients with diabetes mellitus accompanied by vascular disorders.
- People with severe liver disorders.
- Moderate or have suffered from a liver tumor (benign or malignant); known or suspected malignancy influenced by sexual hormones.
- Primolut N should not be used for pregnant women and or nursing mothers.
- Patients with undiagnosed vaginal bleeding.
- Porphyria.
- Have a history of arterial and vascular disease.
Here are some of the possible side effects of Primolut N (Norethisterone):
- Common side effects are usually for 1 month after the start of medicine use and generally disappear over time of treatment.
- Side effects when used in indications of endometriosis, including changes in bleeding patterns such as irregular bleeding and amenorrhea can occur.
- Other side effects that have been reported on the use of painkillers and delay menstruation are mental depression, cholestatic jaundice, porphyria, epilepsy,
migraine, headaches, breast discomfort, dizziness, nausea and vomiting, changes in libido, appetite and weight gain, changes in menstrual patterns, amenorrhoea,
edema, rashes, melasma or cholasma, acne, urticaria, abnormal LFTs, mood changes, insomnia, thrombosis and thromoembolic events, optic neuritis, and changes in lipid profiles.
NOT FOR PREGNANT WOMAN AND BREASTFEEDING WOMEN
